How Do I Join the Alpine Family?
Admissions Requirements
Applicants take an entrance test that covers English grammar, reading comprehension, numeracy skills and a professional personality test. Interviews with a lecturer and a Senior Management Team member are also a feature of the admissions process.
Intakes take place in October, January and April, depending on the programme.
The Distance Learning Programme is open admission throughout the year.
Other Requirements for Admission
- Completed application form, available from the Admissions Office
or through the web site.
- A copy of the applicant's high school diploma
(Greek Apolytirion Certificate)
or international equivalent.
- An Entrance Test and application fee
(non-refundable).
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers who can testify to the applicant's maturity and general readiness for further study.
- Four (4) passport photographs.
Transfer Students
Students who have completed one, two or three years of studies at other accredited institutions may apply to transfer their credits to Alpine, and have them applied towards their chosen programme. They are required to send a transcript of their grades, copies of any certificates, and references together with an application form to the Admissions Officer for evaluation.
MA Admissions Requirements
The MA degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Leadership is a comprehensive programme and open to individuals with a broad range of backgrounds. However, students seeking admission should have the necessary academic ability and professional experience to complete the programme successfully. Most typically, candidates will have an honours degree in a related subject and/or
- Must have held a full-time position within the hospitality or closely-related field for at least three (3) years, or a part-time position for at least five (5) years, or an equivalent combination.
- Must have worked in a supervisory management capacity within the hospitality or closely-related field for at least one (1) full year.
- Must possess a sufficient standard of spoken and written English and successfully pass the Alpine English Proficiency Exam.
- Must submit full details of their previous work experience.
- Must interview with the Academic Dean to demonstrate that they have accumulated sufficient experience in preparation for the course of study.
- Must submit official letters confirming experience, along with past employer contact information.
