Residential English Summer Programme

About Us
Alpine Center is the pioneering leader of international hospitality and tourism management education in Greece. With a diverse student body and faculty representing over 30 nationalities, Alpine has been preparing students for management and leadership positions in the service economy for the past 23 years. The service economy encompasses many sectors including: airlines, cruise lines, sports, conventions and events, asset management, brand management, franchise management and e-business, to name but a few. Our modern curricula allow Alpine to offer highly-recognized Swiss, British and American awards at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The Programme
Alpine offers a Foundation Programme which is designed to develop students’ English language skills to the level required for any and all of the hospitality and tourism management modules offered at Alpine. The Foundation Programme is offered during the academic year (October-March).

The aim of this 3-week summer program is to reinforce the students' existing language skills through listening, speaking and reading with emphasis on the hospitality and tourism industry. Listening skills include comprehending spoken English in a variety of accents and contexts. Speaking skills include accurately discussing topics of general interest in the hospitality and tourism industry. Reading skills focus on the basic understanding of most newspapers, notices and advertisements.

Location
Alpine’s Campus is located in Glyfada, also known as the “Greek Riviera,” about 12 Km from Athens City and 23 Km from the Athens International Airport. The campus is situated on the premises of the Palmyra Beach Hotel in Glyfada, and is fully equipped with training facilities. read more about Alpine’s Campus...
