Spa Management Certificate Course
Alpine Center was pleased to receive a number of enquiries from current spa employees including therapists wishing to upgrade their positions and enrich their knowledge. We also received commendations from companies that sell products to the spa industry, mentioning that many spas seem to lack management expertise.
Alpine Center , the Swiss Business School for Hotel & Tourism Management Education in Greece, appointed Mr. Axel Ludwig Bernhard as Course Advisor and distinguished lecturer to the Spa Management Course to be launched this November. Mr. Bernhard, a Spa Consultant with over 22 years of experience in the wellness industry, has worked and experienced the development of the wellness industry in Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East. He has been involved in turnkey projects and has consulted many spa owners on issues concerning design and facilities management to products and services, quality customer service and effective staff management and marketing.
John Papadopoulos, a member of Alpine’s Advisory Board for the Spa Management course, and who has a wealth of experience in the spa industry, believes that spas with full service have a great future! Tailor made care is key. “A spa should not offer stereo type treatments, but should aim at satisfying each customer individually” said Mr. Papadopoulos.
“Hoteliers have not given spas their full attention”, said Mrs. Hofmann, President of Alpine Center. Spas should be revenue generators because there is a huge need for the products and services they offer. Hoteliers have to invest in knowledge and human resources to make their spas more profitable! Education - once more - is key to a successful business. Spas are in dire need of well qualified and educated managers. When you invest in them, then the return of investment will be appreciated.
Alpine Center is a member of the International Spa Association.
