For almost two decades Alpine Center has provided
cutting-edge, high quality education and
training in the field of hospitality and tourism resulting
in the overwhelming success stories of our
graduates. Alpine has established itself as the leading
hospitality career focused institution in Greece
with an employment placement rate consistently
exceeding 96%. This figure is not only a reflection of
our students’ competitive advantage, but also of the
behind-the-scene activities of Alpine’s Career and
Placement Office.
The Swiss Four Pillar Approach used in the
preparation of our students for successful careers
has proven remarkably effective: practical skills,

ALEXOPOULOS, STAVROS (HM 1998)
Stavros went on to earn a BA in International Hospitality &
Tourism Management from IHTTI, Switzerland. He returned to
Alpine as management trainee and worked as F&B Controller.
Stavros worked for Park Hotel for 2 years as Captain in
the F&B Department. Since December 2002 he works for
SODEXO Hellas, an industrial catering company, as
Operations Supervisor.
ALMYRANTIS, PANAYIOTIS (HM 1993)
After finishing Alpine, Panayiotis transferred to Johnson &
Wales University, USA, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration as well as a Master’s in International Business Administration. In February 1998 he entered the management-training program of the Athens Hilton hotel and got a promotion to Conference and Banquets Operation Manager. Between April 2000 and March 2002 he held the position of Operation Manager at Porto Carras Resort in Chalkidiki. Since April 2002, he is Sales Manager International at Aldemar Hotels.
CHRISTOPOULOU, IRINI-RENIA (HM 1995)
Since her graduation from Alpine Center Irini has worked at the Athenaeum InterContinental. During this time she earned a Certificate in Hospitality Human Resources Management and the CTC (Craft Training Certificate), which gives her the qualifications to train other employees. Irini worked at the Front Desk and was active Shift Leader and Front Desk Trainer until 2001. Since 2001 she is working in a hotel, home, hospital equipment company as Sales Executive.
ARAMOUNI, ADEL (HM 1990)
After a number of key positions in properties in the Middle East, Adel is now Food & Beverage Manager at the InterContinental Mountain Resort and Spa, Mzaar, Lebanon.
CHRISAKOPOULOS, NIKOS (HM 1990)
From 1992 until 1995, Nikos obtained experience by working
in seasonal hotels within Greece. This led to the position of
General Manager at Antimia Hotel in Santorini and at Ornos
Hotel In Myconos. For the last two years Nikos is co-owner and
managing director of Alpha Catering in Halandri. His partner is
his classmate Andreas Kasfikis.
HONDROYIANNI, KATERINA (HM 1996)
Katerina worked on Santorini island at the Iliotopos hotel as General Manager for two years. She worked at the Glyfada Golf Club and at the Astir Palace in the catering department. For two and a half years she worked in the ticketing department of Poseidon Lines shipping company. Since November 2002 she works at the Island Art & Taste in Vouliagmeni as Banquet Coordinator.
GERODIMOU, VIVI (HM 1996)
Starting as a hostess in the Jewels Restaurant at the Hyatt
Regency Casino, Thessaloniki, Vivi was soon promoted to the position of Marketing Manager of both the hotel and casino in 1999. She was involved with the opening of the department and is responsible for advertising, entertainment and promotion.
HADJIKAKOU, KYRIAKOS (HM 1994)
Kyriakos continued his studies at IHTTI, Switzerland, where he obtained a BA in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from Bournemouth University, UK. He then came back to Greece and started managing his family hotel in Crete, Lefkoniko Beach Hotel, where he is mainly responsible for the F&B Department.
KAPSOCAVADIS, PETROS (HM 1995)
Peter added the Italian language to his qualifications (he
studied at a school in Corfu) and after graduation from
Alpine went to work for his family hotel, Oasis Golden
on this popular resort island.
KERASSOVITI, MARIA (HM 1990)
During ’93 – ’94 Maria was Director of Training at Kenny
Rogers Roasters in Greece. A year later she worked in the F&B department of the Sithonia Beach Casino Hotel. Since 1996, she joined the Singular Hospitality Solutions (ex-Delta Hospitality Services) a company whose main activity is the installation and customization of software for the hospitality market. She started as an installer, and now is working at the project department as Project Manager.
KONTONATSIS, THOMAS (HM 1992)
After Alpine, Thomas obtained the ‘Wirte Patent’ Diploma in Switzerland as well as a diploma in the German language. From 1992 until 1999 he worked in Switzerland in different hotels and positions, mainly in the F&B departments. He finally became Assistant General Manager at a Swiss Hotel. In 1999, he decided to come to Greece and worked as Maitre d’Hotel at Eliros Village in Crete. In 2000 he was F&B Manager in Zante Park Hotel of Zakynthos and in 2001, General Manager in Creta Palm Resort, Crete.
LAMBROPOULOS, JOHN (HM 1994)
John did his practical training at the Amsterdam Hilton in the F&B department. After his graduation he was mainly involved in F&B positions such as Restaurant Manager at the Time Out Sports Bar/Restaurant in Glyfada and Restaurant Supervisor at Bobos Restaurant in Kefalari. Since 2000, he and his sister Mika are the owners of Bravo Travel in Glyfada.

CONSTANTINIDIS, PANAYIOTIS (HM 1995)
After his graduation, Panayotis worked at the Starwoodmanaged
hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens. He was in the banquet department as Sales Executive and was promoted to the sales department as Sales Manager. Three years later he joined TQ3 (TUI Hellas S.A.) Business Travel as Sales & Marketing Manager. Then he moved to Sofitel Athens as Sales Manager, and in September 2002 he was promoted to Senior Sales Manager.
DANA, HASSAN (HM 1993)
Hassan worked for Hilton Dubai as a receptionist shortly
after graduation. Later he was promoted to Reservations
Manager and then to Hilton Reservations Worldwide
Manager with responsibility for the Middle East and
Africa. Hassan has now moved to Jumeirah International,
Dubai, as Revenue Manager.
ECONOMOU, JOHN PHILLIP (HM 1995)
After a brief stint working for Movenpick restaurants in Zurich, Switzerland, John returned to Greece to work in the Front Office department of the Athenaeum InterContinental. In 1999 he was promoted to the position of Assistant F&B Manager of the same company. In November 2002, he transferred to the Castellana
InterContinental in Madrid as Assistant F&B Manager.
IAKOVIDIS, NIKOS (HM 1998)
Last summer, Nikos was working as front office agent in Kivotos Club, a member of S.L.H (Small Leading Hotels) in Myconos. His next step was two years with the Lakitira hotel in Kos (that cooperates with MarkWarner, one of the fastest growing family holidaymakers in the UK). He will follow a long-term anagement program with this hotel and in the beginning his position will be FO Assistant Manager and Human Resource Assistant. Before the next summer season he will be moving to London in order to follow some short-term courses regarding modern management in a broader field.
KALDIS, HELEN (HM 1992)
Since her graduation, Helen started managing her own hotel: Emmantina in Glyfada.
KAPOULA, MARIA (HM 1999)
Maria continued her studies at IHTTI, Switzerland, where she obtained a BA in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from Bournemouth University, UK. She started
working in London as a receptionist in a 4 star hotel of the
Radisson chain. Ten months later she was promoted to
Assistant Reservation Manager. Nine months later a challenging position at the Royal Automobile Club saw her climbing to the position of Senior Receptionist, being in charge of 10 receptionists, switchboard operators and reservation agents.
LEONIDI-PLESSA, SOFIA (HM 1995)
After her graduation, Sofia worked for two years at KLM as Ground Staff. In 1997 she started working as Sales Executive at the Metropolitan Hotel (ex- Athens Chandris) where she stayed for approximately 5 years. Since February 2002, she is Sales Executive at Porto Carras Grand Resort.
LIANOS, DIMITRIS (HM 1992)
He is the owner and managing director of the hotel Grotta in Naxos.
MALTEZAKIS, GEORGE (HM 1998)
George worked as a Front Office Agent in the Central Park InterContinental, New York City. After first being promoted to Night Manager, he subsequently became an Assistant Manager. Recently, George designed a ‘Standards Quality Training Session’, which was approved by the Front Office Manager, and he is currently training all FO employees.
MARDIKIS, VASSILIS (HM 1997)
Vassilis gained experience at Hilton Kensington London
and at the Sani Beach in Halkidiki where he worked as
Cost Controller. After his graduation, he started working
at the Starwood-managed hotel Grand Bretagne as Events
Manager, a position he held for four years. The last
two years he is Assistant Banquet Manager at Divani
Caravel in Athens.
MARINIS, AGELOS (HM 1993)
Agelos continued his education at Nova Southeastern
University, Florida, USA. After that he had positions with
F&B operations in Greece including those of Hilton and
Grecotel. Now he is one of the owners of the restaurant
‘Asklipiou Gonia’, a very trendy restaurant in Athens.
MARSAN, JOHN (HM 1997)
John continued his studies at IHTTI Switzerland where
he obtained a BA in International Hospitality & Tourism
Management. He has worked at Haagen Daz cafe
as Assistant Manager and at Vavylonia cafe-restaurant
as F&B Manager. Since October 2002, he works at
Starbucks as Shift Supervisor.
Hotel Management & Catering
MAVEAL, GEORGINA (HM 1996)
After her graduation, Georgina worked at the Caladonian
Club of London for one year as management trainee
(front office & back office). When she returned to
Greece she worked at the Porto Sani Hotel in Halkidiki
as Housekeeping Supervisor. For the last five years she
works at the NJV Athens Plaza hotel were she started
as Housekeeping Supervisor and was then promoted
to Assistant Housekeeper.
MEXAS, TASSOS (HM 1991)
After completing his studies, Tassos went to Switzerland
where he worked for Movenpick restaurants in Zurich, first
as headwaiter and then as Captain. In 1992 he had the
very challenging experience of opening a 220-beds small
hotel in Corfu. From 1992 until 1996 he spent each winter
season in Austria at Seefeld In Tyrol, where he worked
as Restaurant Manager in a 4-star family resort hotel.
Here, he attended seminars in "Tourismusschule" Salzburg,
and obtained advanced knowledge of F&B operations and
Rooms Division Management. In 1993 he worked in Porto
Hydra hotel where he started as Reception Supervisor and
then moved into the F&B department as restaurant manager.
In 1996, Tassos worked for Neon restaurants in Greece
as F&B Operations Manager. In 1998 he accepted the
position of Assistant Hotel Manager on board the Festival
Cruise Lines ship M/V “The Azur”. From 1996 to 2002, he
also participated, as instructor, in various seminars concerning
F&B Management. In 2000 he was Restaurant Manager at
Novo restaurant (division of Makro Cash and Carry Greece).
In April 2002, he had the position of Hotel Manager at
Regina Mare hotel and since September 2003, he has the
position of Food Services Strategic Planning Administrator for
Athens 2004 Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games.
OPPI, NATASCHA (HM 1995)
From 1995 to 1998, Natascha worked at the Accounting
department of Globus Cosmos Travel Services in Lugano,
Switzerland. In 1998, she worked for three months in
General Aviation Lugano Airport and then became Sales
Support at Crossair, Lugano. Since 2001, she is Sales &
Marketing Manager Greece for Swiss International Airlines.
PANAGAKOS, ANTHONY-ALEXANDROS (HM 2001)
Anthony-Alex gained experience in Disneyland Paris
working as a bartender, and at the Esperia Palace, Athens,
where he worked as Trainee Assistant F&B Manager
and as Assistant Housekeeping Manager. Since his
graduation he is Managing Director of the Kotronas
Bay Bungalows S.A.
PAPADOPOULOS, ALEXANDROS (HM 1997)
In 1999, Alexandros was hired by One Way Technostores
(electronic equipment retail store) as Training Coordinator.
A year later he became Assistant Human Resource
Manager at Kotsovolos Group. Since July 2002, he is
Training Manager at the Starwood- managed Hotel
Grande Bretagne of Athens.

PAPAZOGLOU, MIKA (HM 1996)
Mika later enroled on courses offered by the American
Hotel and Motel Association (marketing and sales
specialization) and is presently Sales Executive in the
sales and marketing department of Chandris Hotels
& Resorts (Hellas).
PAPAZOGLOU, VANGELIS (HM 1993)
Since his graduation Vangelis has held positions of Bar
Supervisor and Bar Manager at hotels in Attica and Crete
respectively. In 1996 he was Assistant F&B Management
Trainee at Grecotel Daphnila Bay, Corfu, and a year later
was made Assistant F&B Manager at the Grecotel Corfu
Imperial. Presently he is the Food & Beverage Manager
of the N.J.V Athens Plaza.
PATRA, SOTIRIA (BA 2001)
After receiving her Hotel Management Diploma at Alpine,
Sotiria started working at Pizza Hut, Voula, as Assistant
Manager. At the same time she obtained her BA in
International Hospitality & Tourism Management from
Bournemouth University at Alpine. From 2000 to 2002
she worked at BO Club in Voula, where she was Maitre
during summertime and Assistant Manager during
wintertime. Since October 2002 she works at Starbucks
as training store manager. She is one of the six employees
that were selected to go to Seattle, USA, for further
training. When she returns she will be store manager
in one of the Starbucks cafes of Athens.
PERIVOLARI, VALIA (HM 1993)
After graduating from Alpine, Valia did a long distance
course in Hotel & Tourism Management with concentration
in Human Resource Management. She worked as assistant
Sales Coordinator at the Athenaeum InterContinental for
seven months and then at the Pentelikon Hotel as Sales
& Marketing Coordinator for 2 years. For a year, she
was Sales & Marketing Executive at the Athens Chandris
hotel. After working for over two years at the Athens
Hilton as Business Development Executive, she moved to
Vidior Select, a Human Resource Consultancy company,
where she was Sales & Human Resources Projects
Manager for three years. Since December 2002, Valia
is Human Resource Manager at Aldemar.

PETRAKIS, YIANNIS (HM 1990)
After earning a MSc in International Hotel Management
from the University of Surrey, Yiannis worked in hotels in
Greece and UK before moving into other areas.
His first major position was as Sales Executive Corporate
Accounts with Athens Hilton hotel. In 1997 he became
Account Executive for UPS Greece Inc. with responsibility
for more than 100 active accounts, and this was followed
by a position as Area Sales Manager for Regus Instant
Offices Worldwide. He also worked at Sofitel as Sales
Manager. Since September 2002, he is Corporate Sales
Manager at the Athens Hilton.
ROUCOS, JEAN-MARC (HM 1991)
After working for six years in the London head offices
of Regus, the leading worldwide operator of business
centres, first as Conference Manager, Europe, and then
as Meeting Sales Manager, UK, Jean-Marc decided
to return to Greece. In 2002 he was appointed as the
Director of Sales and Marketing, Greece, for Hilton.
SANI, CHRISTINA (HM 1993) After finishing Alpine, Christina also graduated from Pantios University, Athens, where she obtained a degree in Media & Communication. In 1994 she worked for a year at the Starwood managed hotel Grande Bretagne as Front Office Agent. From 1995 to 1998 she worked in ABN Ambrobank as Customer Care Agent. In 1998 Christina returned to Grande Bretagne as Guest Relations Agent. In 1999 she was promoted to Administrative Assistant to the General Manager. Since 2001 she works in the purchasing department of the same hotel.
SERAFINI, GIOVANNI (HM 1995)
A BA in Hospitality Management from Bournemouth
University, UK, followed by a course in Human Resources
Management from American Hotel and Motel Association
(Distance Learning) led to the position of Training
Manager for Sani Beach Holiday Resort in Northern
Greece. In 1998, Giovanni worked for Alpine Center as
Career and Development Officer before accepting a
new challenge as Training Manager for Regency Casino
& Hyatt Regency, Thessaloniki, with 1,500 employees.
In July 2002 he was promoted to Personnel Manager
of the same hotel. His aim is to become HR Manager.
SKALIDIS, PETROS (HM 1999)
After graduating from Alpine, he worked in his family’s
business, “Hotel Tolo”, as Bar Manager, and was also
preparing for the opening of a new hotel “Tolon Holidays”.
After completing his military obligations in May 2002,
he took over the new 4 Star hotel “Tolon Holidays”
TAVLARIOS/FRAGIDOU, MARIA-ELLEN (HM 1995)
Maria-Ellen had her early work experiences at
Kensington Hilton in London in the F&B Department, at
the Daphnila Bay Grecotel Corfu as Restaurant Hostess,
and at the Grecotel Aeolian Village in Lesvos where she
was a Front Office Agent. After graduating from Alpine,
she continued her studies at Bournemouth University, UK,
where she obtained a BA in International Hospitality &
Tourism Management. In 1996, she started as Guest
Relations Officer at Grecotel Rethymnia Beach, where
for the last five years she is Guest Relations Manager.
TOBAR, ANDREA (HM 1997)
After completing Alpine, Andrea continued her studies
at Johnson & Wales University, Rhode Island, USA, where
she obtained a BA Degree in Hotel & Restaurant
Management. She started working at the Marriott Hotel
in Quito, Ecuador, as Front Office Manager. For the last
4 years she is the Director of Rooms Division of the same
hotel and at the same time she owns a restaurant/catering
service business with her sister.
TRAKAS, THEMIS (HM 1992)
After further studies at Cornell University, USA, where he
received a BSc in Hotel and Restaurant Administration,
Themis continued his studies at New York University. He
attained a Certificate in Bookkeeping from the School
of Continuing and Professional Studies. His first job in the
hospitality industry was as the F&B Controller at Holiday
Inn in Washington, D.C. Eventually he moved to New York
and became F&B Controller at RIHGA Royal Hotel. An
interest in accounting along with further studies got him
the job of Staff Accountant at the same hotel – the first
major step on the way to becoming a Hotel Controller.
Themis was accepted by CUNY Baruch Center in
Manhattan to attend the graduate program in 2002 and
has just completed his MBA in Accounting.
TROULLINOS, MICHAEL (HM 1994)
Michael obtained the Grundstuffe I in Germany. From 1998 until
2000 he was Room Service Manager at Elouda Beach hotel. In
2000 he became Assistant F&B Manager at Elounda Bay Palace.
Since 2001, he is the F&B Manager of Lagonissi Grand Resort.
Hotel Management & Catering
TRIANTAFYLLOPOULOS, CHRISTOS (HM 1992)
Christos has worked at InterContinental in Geneva as Front Desk
Supervisor, and as Duty Manager for the same chain in London.
Later he was Duty Manager for Le Meridien Piccadilly and was
promoted to Reception Manager at the Meridien Grosvenor
House, Park Lane, London, UK. He worked for six months to
prepare the Rooms Division in connection with the opening
of Sofitel St James in London. Currently he is Assistant Front
Office Manager at the Savoy Hotel in London.
TRIPOLITAKIS, VASSILIS (HM 1999)
Vassilis continued his studies at Bournemouth University, UK. He is
now managing his family hotel, Odyssia Beach, in Rethymno, Crete.
VARVAKI-HADJIPETROU, NIKI (HM 1995)
After completing Alpine, she graduated from Bournemouth
University with a BA Degree in Hospitality Management. Her
first job in 1996, was to assist the Career and Placement officer
at Alpine which helped her in securing her first hotel position.
She worked at the Athens Hilton from 1997 to 1998 in various
departments including Human Resource and Front Office. In 1998
she returned to her homeland, where she started her career with
Hyatt Regency Buffalo where she is currently Sales Manager.
Culinary Arts
DIMITRIADES, GEORGE
His first job after graduation was as assistant cook at AZUL
restaurant in Athens; later he was promoted to Sous-Chef.
This was followed by work as gourmet chef at the Italian
restaurant of the Princess Hotel on the island of Myconos.
George’s previous employer visited him and was impressed
enough to ask him to return to AZUL as its chef. In his first
year there he was one of the thirty finalists of the ‘Best
Restaurants in Athens Award for 1998-1999. Now he is working
at Egomio cafe–restaurant as chef and kitchen manager.
KARDAKIS, MICHAEL (CA 1991)
After completing Alpine, he went into the army and later worked
for two years in the kitchen of Athenaeum Intercontinental.
In 1995 he worked at the London InterContinental while at
the same time he studied for the “Advanced Diploma in
Culinary Arts” from Westminster Center, London, which he
received in 1996. When he returned to Greece in 1997,
he started working at the Corfu Imperial Hotel and in 1999
was promoted to sous–chef de cuisine. Since 2000, he is the
youngest Chef in Grecotel company at Myconos Blue Hotel.
KONSTANTINIDIS, PANAYOTIS – STEFANOS (CA 1996)
He is working at the Big Deals restaurant in Kifissia as a
Sous- Chef.
KYRIAZIS, KONSTANTINOS (CA 1996)
After graduating, Konstantinos worked in the kitchen of TG
Friday’s in Kifissia. A year later he was promoted to coach and
was responsible for training. Later, he opened the restaurant in
Pangrati where he was Assistant Kitchen Manager. Following a
number of training sessions he went to Budapest for the opening
there and then to the USA for further training. For the next two
years he was Kitchen Manager in the Pangrati operation. For
five months he went to Patra for another opening and was a
back-of- house team leader. He also worked at the central
offices of TG Friday’s as corporate officer. Currently he is
restaurant manager in Pangrati and at the same time is
preparing the opening of TG Friday’s in Glyfada.
LINTIS, GEORGE (CA 1997)
After graduating from Alpine, George assisted in seminars
about HASP, ISO and Kitchen Hygiene. He worked at
Sofitel in Rhodes as assistant F&B Manager. At the moment
he works as an F&B Manager for Atlantica Leisure Group
of Cyprus in the Hotel Atlantica Bay.
LINTIS, ANDREAS (CA 1995)
Andreas did both in-service training periods abroad-one
year in Geneva and the other in Stockholm. After completing
his studies, he worked for one year at Alpine Center’s
kitchen as Assistant Tutor. Later he worked as a chef at
Tango Bar Restaurant in Athens. Since 1998 he works in
SETE Company as Catering Manager.
LOGOTHETIS, GEORGE (CA 1996)
George started working at INEXES Restaurant as Cook
B for six months. He then worked at Pentelikon in Kifissia
as Cook C. Two and a half years later he moved to Fox
Restaurant where he was Cook B. Since June 2002, he is
Cook A at Orizontes Restaurant in Lycabetus while he is
also the Chief Editor of the TV show “Stin Kouzina Olotachos”.
Culinary Arts
LOULOUMARIS, NICK (CA 1997)
Nick’s qualification helped him get a position as Executive
Chef at the Officers Club, Kos, when he entered the military
shortly after his graduation from Alpine. When he finished
he took a job as Sous Chef at Archaion Yefsis, an exclusive
restaurant in downtown Athens. At the moment he is sous
chef at the “17” restaurant in Kolonaki.
PSIMOULIS, VASSILIS (CA 1999)
After his graduation from Alpine, Vassilis worked in
several restaurants in Greece. He then went to the UK
were he worked at the Hilton London Heathrow Airport
as Chef de Partie for six months. On his returned he
worked for Parmigiano Restaurant in Myconos, Kolonaki
and Filothei as chef for two years. He also worked at
Pireaus Yacht Club restaurant for six months as sous-chef
as well as at Valaoritou Brasserie as a chef for eight
months. Since June 2002 he is the chef of Padre Padrone
Restaurant in Psiri, Athens.
SIMOTOPOULOS, PAVLOS (CA 1996)
After completing his military obligations, Pavlos returned
to Alpine and worked for a year as a sous-chef. In 1999
he worked as a comie-chef at the Bajazzo Restaurant.
He then went to Chicago, USA, and worked at a Western
chain hotel in Michigan Avenue as a management trainee
sous-chef. In September 2001 he started working at
Karavi Restaurant of Sofitel, Athens as Cook B and he was

STAROGIANNIS, ELIAS (CA 1992)
When he completed his studies he went to New York and
worked in a hotel as Chef de Partie. He returned in Greece
and worked as chef in Bajazzo Restaurant. Three years ago
he moved to Brasserie Valaoritou in Kolonaki as Chef. He
appears on a TV show called “Stin Kouzina Olotachos”.
THEODOROPOULOS, NONDAS (CA 2000)
Nondas did his practical training at Atlantica Bay in Lemessos,
Cyprus. After completing the Culinary Arts course; he also
obtained the Executive Certificate in Culinary Arts at the
Alpine Center. He worked for a year and a half at Atlantica
Bay in Cyprus as Cook B. In the summer season he worked
in Rhodes for the same company, Rhodes Atlantica Princess
as sous-chef. At the moment he is back in Cyprus at the
kitchen of the same hotel.
TOLIAS, DIMITRIS (CA 2000)
After graduating from Alpine, Dimitris spent a year in the
UK, where he started working at the Dormi House Hotel
as Demi Pastry Chef and was quickly promoted to Chef
de Partie. After a short break in Athens he returned to the
same hotel as Chef de Partie and is expected to become
Head Pastry Chef by March 2003.
VENIERIS, GEORGE (CA 1999)
George did his practical training in Vardis restaurant of
Pentelikon hotel and in the kitchen of Hilton Amsterdam
hotel. He worked for a year at the Brasserie Valaoritou
in Kolonaki as Sous-Chef and at Spondi Restaurant as
Cook A. He did some consultancy work for restaurants
and for two months he had a cooking show on television.
At present he works at Beau-Brummel Restaurant in
Kifissia as Sous-Chef.

ABU GHAZALEH, KARIM (HM 1993)
After completing his studies at Alpine, he became manager
at the Myconos Palace. From 1995 until 1998 he worked
as Assistant F&B Manager at the Casino Porto Carras in
Halkidiki. In 1998 he went to Warsaw, Poland, and for two
years held the position of General Manager at Union Food
International, a food trading company. Since 2000 he is the
Financial Director of ERGOCOM Sp.zoo in Warsaw.
ANTIPAS, DIMITRIS (HM 1992)
After his graduation from Alpine, Dimitris received a MSc
in Tourism Management from Surrey University, UK. Since
then he manages his own shipping company, AURORA
MARITIME SERVICES, Pireaus, which is concerned with
trading, chartering and brokering ships.
BEBONIS, THEODORE (HM 1992)
He started working at Pizza Hut as Assistant Manager
and was promoted to Restaurant Manager. He spent a
year in Austria working for the same company. When he
returned he became Catering Manager in Eurest Hellas.
After that he was Regional Manager of Pizza Fun. For the
last month he is the Sales Manger of a software
company called EASY BOARDER.

ECONOMIDIS, JASON (HM 1990)
His first position was in the FO Department of Ledra
Marriott for two years. After that he worked for SATO A.E.
(furniture company) as sales manager. The last eight
years he works for TELESTET as corporate accountant.
ELIADES, JORDAN (HM 1991)
Jordan obtained a Bachelor in Hotel and Cruises
Management in 1996 and a Master in International
Business Administration from NOVA SOUTHEASTERN
University, Florida, USA. He has worked in a number of
positions in hotels and educational institutes throughout
Europe and United States. He was Vice President of
Operations for CTI Group, in Florida, USA, which is a
recruiting and placement agency for the hospitality industry.
Currently Jordan has his own Human Resource consultancy
firm in Greece, Global Management Services, and is
working on his PhD in International Economies.
GIANNOUKA, KATERINA (HO 1999)
After Alpine, she transferred to Oxford Brookes university,
UK, where she obtained her BA. Then Katerina started
working as Research Analysts at HVS International in their
London office.
HADJIDOPAVLAKIS – HADJOS, NIKOS (HM 1993)
After completing Alpine, Nikos received a Bachelor of
Commerce in Hotel & Food Administration from the
University of Guelph, Ontario, CA. From 1997 to 1998
he worked as a Sales Coordinator at Grecotel S.A. In
1999 he moved to USA and worked at Hotel
InterContinental as Lobby Manager for one year and at
Rihga Royal Hotel as Assistant Manager/Relief Night
Manager. Since 2001 he is Consulting and Valuation
Analyst at HVS International in New York. At the same
time, he is working on his MBA in Finance and Investments
– Baruch Center – City University of New York.
JUBAYLI, RAMZI (HO 1991)
Soon after graduating from Alpine, he earned a
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from
Concordia University, Montreal. When he went back to
Lebanon, Future Television Network recruited him as part
of its financial team. He was also given the responsibility
of establishing and overseeing the Project Management
& Construction Section. In 2002 he completed the MBA
from the Lebanese American University, Beirut. Currently,
Ramzi occupies the position of Director for Procurement &
Administrative Affairs Department overseeing 84 employees.
KALOGIROU, ATHINA (HM 1995)
After her graduation, Athina continued her studies at
Johnson & Wales University, USA, where she obtained a
BSc in Hospitality Management. Since she finished her
studies she is managing director of the Institute of
Dynamics & Development where she organises seminars.
She believes that Alpine helped her very much in being
motivated, professional and organised in her field.
KIDNER ALEX (HM 1995)
Alex’s education, after completing Alpine, has been
related to Information Technology more than the services
industry: He now works for the BBC as a Technical
Helpdesk Analyst. The various courses have been
technical and provided by the BBC as they provide a
modified Microsoft environment to their news staff. He
works in a support role for journalists, radio and TV
presenters for the BBC News. He is part of a group of 15
people who provide first line contact aimed at resolving
basic technical problems. They have a user base of
around 4500 people and take approximately 300 calls
a day. He’s considering taking a two and a half year
course in Broadcast Engineering to go along with his IT
and service skills. This course will be provided by the
BBC News department and recognised by all media
companies around the world.
KONTOGOURIS, PHAEDON (HM 1995)
Phaedon continued his studies at ALBA, Athens, where he
obtained an MBA. He worked at Pizza Hut as Restaurant
Manager for two years and at TGFriday’s for one year as
back-of-house manager. He then started to work as a car
salesman for two years, and since 2000 he works at
Executive Lease S.A. as Client Service Supervisor.
KOTSIOPOULOS, GEORGE (HM 1991)
After completing Alpine, George worked as a restaurant
manager at Bajazzo Restaurant and Alekos Bar Restaurant.
He also worked as sous maitre at Porto Carras Hotel in
Halkidiki. Now he is the owner of a Kodak Express photo
shop: nevertheless, George says his studies at Alpine
come in handy – along with valuable experiences.
KRANIDIOTIS, ERICOS (HM 1998)
Ericos continued his studies in Bournemouth University, UK,
where he obtained a BA Degree with Commendation
and a MA in International Business. After finishing his MA
degree in January 2001, he joined JP Morgan Bank and
worked in Global Foreign Exchange. After a year and a
half he applied and successfully obtained a position in
the Investment Banking Derivatives group where he
currently works as a Senior Nostro and Accounts
Investigator.

MISTOPOULOU, MARIANNA (HM 1997)
First, Bournemouth University for a BA in Hospitality
Management, followed by a MA in Human Resource
Management (with Merit) from University of Westminster,
London, UK. Marianna has applied this latter qualification
to her job at the Institute of Cancer Research as a Human
Resources Officer.
ORONTIS, MICHAEL (HM 1995)
After completing Alpine, Michael went to Lugano,
Switzerland, where he completed the Swiss Federal
Accountant two-year course and learned the Italian
language. In Lugano, he worked for five years at Globus
Cosmos Operator as Tour Controller/Administrator. When
he returned to Greece he worked for a year at TASIS
(The American School in Switzerland) at Admissions/
Administration. Since 2001 he works at Alpine Center
as Admissions and Career & Placement Officer.
PANTELIDIS, IOANNIS SAVVAS (HM 1994)
Whilst studying he worked in Scotland, Germany and
Greece. In summer 1996 he opened and managed an ‘ouzeri’ in Greece with a partner. He then went to London
where he started at the Caledonian Club as Training
Manager and Public Relations Coordinator. In 1999 Ioannis
joined Radisson Edwardian Hotels as a Night Manager and
was soon promoted to Reservations Manager for Centre
Stage, their sister company that deals with theatre
/accommodation packages. His first academic post was
with the London Hotel School as a Lecturer and Hotel
Training Consultant. After completing a part time MSc in
Tourism and Hospitality Education with the University of
Surrey in September 2001, he joined the University as F&B
Tutor. Last winter he was asked to be the Stream Leader
for the International Hospitality Management Course.
PAPAFRANGAS, ANTONIS (HM 1995)
Antonis worked from 1995 to 1997 as head of the
Reception Desk and from 1997 to 1999 as Receptionist
at the Athenaeum InterContinental. For the last four years
he works at Johnson Controls Spa, the leading Facility
Management Company worldwide where he is Accountant
Manager for BP Hellas.
PATRAS, AGAMEMNON (HM 1996)
In 1998, after completing his military obligations,
Agamemnon started working at Nestle Hellas as a
salesman. Since 2000 he holds the position of Sales
Executive in the same company.
PLATANI, KYRIAKI (HM 1993)
Kyriaki’s first job was at the Capsis hotel in the sales
department for one year. She was then hired by Diogenis
A.E. (night club/restaurant) in the banqueting department.
In 1996, she worked at Divani Caravel hotel as Assistant
Banquet Manager. A year later she returned to Diogenis
A.E. where she now is Sales Executive.
VICHOS, NIKIFOROS (HM 1998)
After Alpine, he went to IHTTI, Switzerland, and obtained
a BA in Hospitality & Tourism Management from
Bournemouth University. He worked in TGI Friday’s as
Expenditure taking part in the food production but his first
major position was in “Chairs” restaurant in Kolonaki as
cash administrator with operational responsibilities as well.
Currently, Nikiforos is working at Adecco HR Consulting
Company as Recruitment Manager.

ANTHOPOULOU, MARGARITA
After her graduation in 1998, Margarita was offered a job
at TUI as group planner. A year later she moved to PYRAMIS
INTERNATIONAL Travel Agency as sales executive. In June
2001, she accepted a position at the Carrefour Travel
Agencies where she is responsible for the planning and
operation of this new project.
CHALKIAS, ANGELOS
After completing the Travel & Tourism and IATTA courses at
Alpine Center, Angelos became involved with his family’s
business where he is now Managing Director.
CHARITOU, ELENI
Eleni gained experience in reservations and ticketing at an
agency in Greece and later Disneyland in France. After
working as Department Supervisor in the FIT Department of
Cronus Airline, she moved in November 2000 to Air France
at the Athens airport, first as Ground Hostess and then Agent
responsible for counter and close out. In July 2002 she was
transferred to the ticket agency of Air France in the
Reservation Department.

GERANI, ANNA
After her graduation from Alpine, Anna worked for four years
in a travel agency where she gained valuable experience. In
1999, she was hired by Aegean airlines where she is still
working as Package Tours Supervisor.
GRIVA, VICKY
Immediately after graduation, Vicky went to work for KLM
Royal Dutch Airlines in their Athens office. She is currently
the assistant to the Country Manager Greece and has
duties connected with personnel department. Six months
ago she also assumed the role of the mileage program
coordinator for Greece.
ISAAKIDIS, TATIANA
After completing Alpine, Tatiana continued her studies at
Brighton University, where she obtained a BA Degree of
Management and Travel. When she returned she started
working at her own travel agency, TOWER TRAVEL LTD,
where she is co-owner and sales manager.
JEFTIC, NICOLAS (TTM 1993)
From 1992 until 1998, Nicolas worked at Griffin Travel as
Operations Manager and delegate of member advisory
board Wood Side Travel Trust (Radius, the biggest travel
organization worldwide.) In 1998, he worked for one year
at Union Air as Sales Manager of Croatian Airlines. For
the last three years he is Sales & Incoming Manager at
Grecian Travel in Athens.
KAMBOURELLI, MARIA (TTM 1996)
Maria’s first job was at HELLENIC TOURS – KUONI. A year
later she was hired by KLM at the Reservation Department.
Six months later she was promoted to the position of
account analyst (in-door sales support). Since March
2000 her job title is Business Intelligence and she is the
KLM support of marketing for 9 Mediterranean countries.
KOUMANTAKI, KORINA (TTM 1997)
After completing Alpine, Korina worked for four years
as area manager for Hotel Plan, a Swiss tour operator.
The last two years she works at Cretan Holidays in Crete
as Sales Manager.
LAMBROPOULOS, MIKA (IATTA 1992)
After her graduation, Marika continued her studies at the
Open University of London where she obtained a Diploma
of Professional Management. When she returned to
Greece her first job was at Antenna Tours as Sales
Representative where she stayed for two years. The
following three years she worked at Brazilia Travel in Glyfada as Travel Consultant. She then worked for one
year at the Athens Hilton as Front Office Clerk. In 1999,
she opened a travel agency in Glyfada, Bravo Travel,
with her brother John Lambropoulos (HM 1994).
SCAPERDA, SOFIA (TTM 1991)
After graduating from Alpine, Sophia worked for two years as ticket Agent at Pyramis agency. From 1993 to 1999 she worked at Intrav travel agency as ticket agent.
In 1999, she started her own business SCAP Travel. At the
moment her job tiltle is Business Accounts at Manessis
Travel in Athens.
PROGOULAKI, MARIA (TTM 1991)
After completing her studies at Alpine, Maria acquired
experience by working in several travel agencies.
In 1997, American Express, Athens hired her. She is
working there for the last five years as Travel Counselor.
STAMATAKI, MARIANNA (TTM 1997)
In May 1997, Marianna started working at the reservations department of Horizon Travel. A year later she was promoted to the Group Incoming Department as
Account Executive and her main duty is to organise
meetings and incentives.
TSAROUCHI, ANGELIKI (TTM 1998)
Since her graduation, Angeliki is working at the reservations department of Meridian Travel in Athens.
